You and your family should feel you can always voice your concerns. If you share a concern or complaint, your care will not be affected in any way. The first step is to discuss your concerns with your doctor, nurse, or other Natchaug Hospital caregiver. If you have concerns which are not resolved, please contact Natchaug Hospital’s Patient Advocate at 860-456-1311 x207.

Joint Commission Notice: The public may contact the Joint Commission's Office of Quality Monitoring to report any concern or to register a complaint about a Joint Commission-accredited health care organization. To do this, you may call 1-800-994-6610 or complete an online Quality Incident Report Form available at jointcommission.org.

Billing & Financial Assistance Information

At Natchaug Hospital, we are committed to providing you with the best available healthcare along with convenient billing services, payment options and financial assistance.

Billing

Please bring your insurance cards and necessary co-payment for your visit.

As a courtesy, Natchaug will submit bills to your insurance company and do everything possible to advance your claim. However, it may become necessary for you to contact your insurance company, or supply additional information to them, for claims processing requirements or to expedite payment. You should remember that your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company, and you have the final responsibility for payment of your hospital bill.

Financial Counseling

Financial Counselors are available to assist families and patients with a variety of financial needs. We are able to assist those who are uninsured, underinsured, need financial assistance, or need to set up payment arrangements. The financial counseling staff may assist you with applying for different government programs, or give you advice on how to proceed. If you do not qualify for any type of government programs, we can review your financial status to see if you meet guidelines for special programs or financial assistance.

You may contact a Financial Counselor by calling 860-456-1311, extension 416.

Financial Assistance

Under Hartford HealthCare’s Financial Assistance program you may qualify for free or discounted care if you are either uninsured or under-insured.

Please read our Financial Assistance Brochure (in both English and Spanish) or our Financial Assistance Policy for more information.
